Piers & Anchors

What are Helical Piers & Anchors

They are essentially large, steel galvanized screws. Installation involves mechanically screwing helical piers or anchors into the earth, beneath your foundation or structure, until competent, load-bearing strata or bedrock is reached. The helical pier or anchor is then mounted with a steel bracket to either your foundation footing or structure to achieve permanent stability, even in the most unstable soil conditions.

Permanent Support & Anchoring Solution

It’s the only permanent solution because the piers or anchors are bypassing the problem soils that cause foundations to fail. If you rebuild your foundation on the same soil, the problem will eventually return. When it comes to new homes or structures, you’re able to avoid future damage to your foundation or structure from the start.

Why Steel Piers are the Only Permanent Foundation Repair Solution

The majority of foundation issues are caused by changes in the soil conditions beneath your foundation. For example, if the soil softens from being too wet, the weight of your home or building will cause the foundation to sink. As you can see with the traditional repair method of replacing your damaged foundation with a new foundation, you’re not addressing the actual problem. Bottom line, your foundation issues are guaranteed to return. At Foundation Technology, our steel helical and push piers have the ability to extend deep, beyond problem soils to permanently stabilize and support your foundation.
